This was not what I expected on waking up this morning.

I woke up in Shell Cottage this morning, and Fleur has explained. I'll be stopping by Gringotts to reapply for my job, and expect that to be taken care of in short order. Percy, George: where can I find you?

Locked from the goblins

It was only a small explosion.

And after I told Henderson to leave that particular curse alone (he'd only tripped it three times before I arrived here Sunday night). It was apparently an issue of pride that he had to finish his job before I came in to do it for him. The healers say he'll be fine, and it means he can't argue being sent back to London to deal with deskwork for the next month.

Once I got him set and out of the way I was able to get in and clean up the mess. Turns out there look to be several rooms in the crypts below the estate, each one cursed separately, and I'd guess in a more complicated manner as we go in. I cracked into the first crypt (yes, they've been here a month and hadn't cracked the first yet) and we'll be starting into the second crypt tomorrow. We need to be done with the whole mess by mid-March, and after the trouble we had this week the goblins aren't offering weekends off.

We've had trouble brewing on site in Morocco for a while now, and I've been putting off going since we were expecting Arthur any day, and I didn't want to be trapped on-site when my son arrived. But now that he's here, and Fleur's healthy, the goblins have made it clear that I'm due in Morocco by Sunday night.

I'd appreciate it if folks could stop by Shell Cottage, help Fleur out with Vic and Arthur, visit... anything to keep her from getting overwhelmed. I'm going to be back weekends, but right now I don't know how long this trip's going to take (the bloke who's been there for the past month has managed to do more harm than good on the job).

Now that the owls have been sent to the family (and near enough to be family), I can put up the public announcement:

Please welcome Arthur William Fred Weasley to the world. He was born this evening, and both Mum and boy are doing great. Don't ask me for specifics on time (I wasn't looking) or weight or any of that rot. I just checked to make sure he's perfect, and of course, he is.
